Abstract

We have identified the earliest known precursors committed to innate cell lineages, and are characterizing the functions of transcription factors expressed in these early innate lymphocyte precursors. We devised a genetic model to study the activity of progenitors for thymus epithelial cells, and are currently characterizing the activity of these putative progenitors during growth, at steady state, and during regeneration. And, we have established that plasma cells depend on P2rx4 in the bone marrow niche, and we are studying whether drugs targeting P2rx4 provide any potential benefit in models of multiple myeloma.
