Abstract
we discovered a significant impact of myeloid TGFbeta on tumor immune evasion and metastatic outgrowth. Currently, we are investigating the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms. We are utilizing the knockout mouse line of myeloid specific TGFbeta signaling to understand immune therapy resistance/relapse, a significant challenge in cancer biology and treatment. We have preliminary observations on immune niches that governs tumor dormancy and metastatic outgrowth, which should inform novel targeting opportunities
