Abstract

During this reporting period, we performed a comprehensive analysis of screening data generated from both the NPC (NIH FDA-approved drug library) and the MIPE (oncology-focused library). These libraries were tested in 7 acral melanoma cell lines along with 4 normal control cell lines, using a full dose–response format to capture potency and efficacy parameters. This dataset provided an opportunity to identify compounds with subtype-selective activity and to distinguish therapeutic windows between tumor and normal cells. To strengthen translational relevance, we initiated a collaboration with Dr. Sophia Shalhout (Harvard University), aiming to uncover compounds with selective activity against acral melanoma subtypes. This partnership will help contextualize findings in the broader clinical and molecular landscape of acral melanoma, potentially highlighting unique vulnerabilities that may be exploited for therapy.
