Abstract
Metabolomics is the comprehensive study of small molecules, known as metabolites, within cells, tissues, or biofluids. These metabolites represent intermediate and end products of cellular processes, reflecting the physiological state of a biological system, and also play a key role in molecular signaling. This groups' effort spans the following 2 main areas: 1) development of high-throughput untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics using automation; 2) development on end-to-end informatics platform for data preprocessing to data interpretation. The group collaborates with internal and external collaborators in both these areas to increase uncover insights into mechanisms underlying disease and responses to exposures such as drugs, and identify biomarkers exposures, toxicity, or other outcomes of interest.
