Abstract
During this period, the project team reviewed high-throughput screening data and selected a set of compounds that selectively killed glioblastoma cells compared with a non-tumor cell model. The prioritized compounds were advanced into combination screening experiments to identify two-agent treatments that synergistically reduced the viability of brain tumor initiating cells. The ability to enter the brain was predicted using computational approaches. The team is currently examining results in comparison with previous glioblastoma high-throughput screens. The most promising and novel combination will be considered for in vivo efficacy studies.
