Abstract
During this period, the project team developed and optimized a 1536-well assay to measure red blood cell viability over multiple weeks. The team performed high-throughput screening of the NCATS approved drugs collection and NCATS Pharmacologically Active Chemical Toolbox. Hit compounds were selected based on established activity thresholds and further assessed for effects on red blood cells from multiple donors. The team will investigate activity of the compounds in orthogonal assays to further characterize the hit compounds.
