Abstract
Given the demonstrated ability of IMiD analogs to hijack the E3 ligase cereblon in a species-specific cytotoxic manner, the goal of this project is to screen an IMiD analog library in a series of assays to identify anti-infective activity which could serve as the basis for further drug development. Analogs demonstrating anti-infective activity will be further studied using appropriate ortholog assays to identify mechanisms of action and target protein identification. During this period, we have received and plated the library in 1536-well format. We will first tackle Malaria, as per-collaboratorâs interest. We are in the process of obtaining key reagents to start the screen.
