Abstract

During this period, the team identified single domain antibodies that bind to patient-derived fibril samples using phage panning strategies. Antibodies were produced and validated by ELISA and evaluated for their ability to block fibril formation and protect neurons from fibril-induced cell death. Additionally, the team performed phage panning against the transferrin receptor and has identified single domain antibodies that induce receptor internalization. The next steps include the generation of bivalent antibodies and evaluation in in vivo models of Alzheimer disease.
