Abstract

The protocol allows research to fully characterize immunologically-mediated kidney diseases with regard to immune dysregulation, immune cell populations and role of complement . The research protocol is leading to development of validated LIPS assay for several membranous nephropathy antibodies used for monitoring of the rarer forms of this kidney disease, identification of PLA2R specific memory B cells in membranous nephropathy and characterization of the evolution of dyslipidemia in membranous nephropathy during the nephrotic state, remission and relapse.
