This resource will support several activities related to patient care and study. 1) National Smell and Taste Center outpatient clinic. Located in the NIH Clinical Center, the world's largest research hospital, this weekly clinic will evaluate smell and taste in health and disease. Unique resources such as 7T MRI, olfactometer and gustometer will be utilized along with several disease specific and health related patient reported outcome measures. The combination of these resources represent research and patient care opportuinities that are unique to the NIH. 2) Smell and Taste Consultation service. This new resource facilitates the comprehensive evaluation of NIH Clinical Center patients with smell and or taste concerns. This advances the evaluation and treatment of these patients at the NIH.
