Abstract
For this past year, the NINDS Bioinformatics Core fulfilled 731 analysis-related requests asked us by 67 different research staff. For the requests fulfilled, they included the following 23 different categorical types: Ad-hoc omics analysis-related, ATAC-Seq analysis-related, ChIP-Seq analysis-related, Clinical data analysis-related, Mass-Spec analysis-related, Meta analysis-related, Metabolite analysis-related, Methylation Array analysis-related, Methylation-Seq analysis-related, Motif analysis-related, Pathogen-Seq analysis-related, PhIP-Seq analysis-related, Protein Microarray analysis-related, RNA-Seq analysis-related, sc/nATAC-Seq analysis-related, sc/nRNA-Seq analysis-related, Slam-Seq analysis-related, Spatial Transcriptomic analysis-related, Training :: Mentorship related, Transposable-Seq analysis-related, Variant analysis-related. The NINDS Bioinformatics Core also continued to work on and maintain five different applications that support clinical-related needs and ongoing research. Those applications were: (i) "eStroke/2", a non-public web-based application designed to capture stroke patient data collected during the hospital admission process, (ii) "EncoMPASS", a public web-based application (https://encompass.ninds.nih.gov/) designed to enable a user to perform an integral membrane protein query and related analysis, (iii) "SeqSeek", a public web-based application designed to share next generation scRNA-Seq data and results, (iv) OSTRICH, a non-public standalone application designed for the collection and secure storage of patient data when there is no network connectivity, and (v) "NINDS Supplement Data", a public web-based site (https://data.ninds.nih.gov/) that makes available companion data for accepted manuscripts that the corresponding Journal could not accept or host due to format and/or size. Support work provided for these applications included: systems design, front-end development, middleware development, database development, and maintenance.
