Abstract
In FY2025, we have continued to explore each viral DNA replication at each stage of the HPV infectious cycle. In particular, we have studied the mantenance phase of persistent HPV infection and have developed cell lines in which we can track HPV genomes partitioning in dividing cells. We have also conducted in situ chromosome capture analysis to determine the regions where HPV genomes tether to host chromosomes. We are studying the late stage of HPV replication using high resolution microscopy to define the functional architecture of HPV replication foci and have developed cell lines to visualize the formation of these foci in real time. We have identified cellular factors that promote or restrict HPV infection.
