Abstract
Formative work making recommendations to the field as to the scope of Medical Extended Reality, and best practices for immersive technology-based interventions was conducted and published during this time. Work has also included preparation for a clinical trial evaluating a commercial intervention that aims to reduce experiences of cybersickness or motion sickness in users of virtual reality. If successful, this intervention could allow individuals who might typically need to forego use of immersive technology for clinical purposes due to adverse cybersickness experiences to avail themselves of these technologies for medical care in the future.
