Abstract
Recruitment is ongoing at clinical sites. Pregnant women are recruited in the first half of pregnancy and followed throughout pregnancy. A research ultrasound is performed to monitor fetal growth. Delivery samples are collected and a neonatal assessment is completed. Male partners complete a study visit during pregnancy for markers of heart health and a subset provide semen samples and a body composition scan to further link heart health to neonatal health through semen epigenetics. Women with uncontrolled gestational diabetes are randomized to the timing of initiation of delivery to assess the optimal window for neonatal health.
