Abstract
We propose to study the role of senescent cells and COPI-mediated cellular trafficking in AD traits. In collaboration with LNG, our team in LGG proposes to establish an etoposide-induced senescence model of cortical neurons derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). In this model, we will investigate the effect of modulation of COPI levels on AD biomarkers to determine if it is a viable target for AD treatment. We also plan to perform single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis to uncover subpopulations of senescent neurons and elucidate potential markers that could have therapeutic importance in AD.
