Abstract
In this past year the specimen repository has been quite active. Work continued to allow access to specimens from the DER Pregnancy and Perinatology Branch/MFMU network NuMom2B study via DASH until the DASH pause. The new procurement for the biospecimen repository was awarded; this initiative provides for a NICHD DASH-specific sharing biobank as well as repository services to support ongoing clinical studies from the the Division of Intramural Population Health Research and the DER Maternal and Pediatric Infectious Disease Branch, storage and dissemination of studies from DER Pregnancy and Perinatology and the Obstetric and Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics Branches as well as specimens collected under the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children's Act. The two Division of Intramural Population Health Research studies that are in the field both continue to use repository services. All of these endeavors have a common goal: to generate multiple resources for investigators that ensure DiPHR conducts the best possible research.
