Abstract
Project Summary This administrative supplement to the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study: Data Analysis, Informatics, and Resource Center (DAIRC) will enable the completion of whole genome sequencing (WGS) for approximately 3,100 remaining participants and enhance the infrastructure necessary to return clinically actionable genetic findings to eligible individuals, in accordance with ACMG guidelines for secondary findings. To support these goals, we propose to expand DAIRCâs bioinformatics and DevOps teams and invest in long-term storage and tracking systems that ensure secure data processing, harmonization, and management of the return-of-results workflow. Participants identified as having medically actionable variants will be offered CLIA-certified confirmatory testing and genetic counseling. This work will enhance the scientific and clinical utility of ABCD genomic data and provide a scalable model for ethically integrated return of results in pediatric research.
