Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY This administrative supplement will be used to replace broken equipment (an Agilent TapeStation) that is essential to the project funded by the parent award on mechanisms of mitochondrial mutation rate variation. The project relies on generation of specialized high-throughput DNA sequencing libraries with ultra-high fidelity to detect de novo mutations. These libraries must go through a quality control process, which includes analysis of size distribution and quantity with a TapeStation. The requested TapeStation 4150 unit will replace a TapeStation 2200 unit that is no longer operational and cannot be repaired because the manufacturer no longer supports the outdated model. The replacement will be used to complete project goals over the 3+ years remaining on the parent award.
