Abstract
Project Summary The Remote Data Enclave (Core F) facilitates safe access to restricted-use data by CDHAâs affiliates in two distinct ways. First, Core F supports Silo, a high-security, high-powered computation environment maintained by the Social Science Computing Cooperative (SSCC). Second, Core F supports WiscRDC, the Federal Research Data Center based at UW-Madison. WiscRDC allows CDHA researchers to work with sensitive data maintained by the federal government, primarily the Census Bureau, while Silo allows CDHA researchers to work with all other sensitive data. Together with data use agreements managed by the Social Science Research Services (SSRS), these two enclave resources provide CDHAâs internal and external affiliates access to large-scale (often longitudinal) datasets with complex, deeply-described phenotypes that are linked to administrative, geographic, biological, contextual, and genetic data from a wide variety of sources.
