Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY/ABSTRACT â Core A: Administrative and Research Support Core The Administrative Core A manages the activities of the Center. CEDA requires an efficient and effective administrative infrastructure for the research projects developed and supported through the Center. The primary goal of Core A is to make possible successful research outcomes for CEDA affiliates by managing the administrative aspects of research generation, funding, and implementation. Core A assists with pre- and post- award grant support for CEDA affiliates. It also manages the many Center activities designed to foster new research ideas in the economics and demography of aging. This includes the management of activities intended to mentor early career researchers, to create and support research networks, to share research resources, and to communicate center activities and opportunities. To achieve these goals, Core A allocates and oversees all Center resources. This includes ensuring that, with high-quality and responsive services, the CEDA faculty affiliates have access to all available data and computing resources in order to support their research needs. Finally, as the primary point of contact for CEDA, Core A oversees Center compliance with federal requirements, and reports on the activities of the Center to NIA and the Coordinating Center.
