Abstract
ADMINISTRATIVE CORE - ABSTRACT The Administrative Core will manage the Mayo Clinic Rochester and University of Wisconsin Next Generation KUH Researchers ("GENERATOR") Center. It will connect various Center activities, faculty from both institutions, the CAIRIBU Interactions Core, CAIRIBU Community, Urology Centers Program, NIDDK, Mayo Clinic, University of Wisconsin administrative structures, and the KUH Research Community. The Administrative Core will also interact with an External Evaluation Board, whose membersâ expertise will complement the Center administrative and programmatic leadership. The Administrative Core will be responsible for executing the Centerâs communication plan, thereby disseminating our networking and training programs to undergraduate and graduate students in order to attract the brightest investigators to KUH research. The Core will also coordinate faculty and trainee interactions via the monthly videoconferences and annual in person meetings of our center, as well as an annual meeting of all centers. Importantly, the core will be responsible for monitoring progress of the center including establishing and monitoring milestones. An important function of the core will be to establish an external evaluation board and coordinate meetings of the board interaction of the board with center leadership. Taken together, the Specific Aims of the GENERATOR Administrative Core are to: AIM 1. Facilitate collaborative leadership of the center. AIM 2. Develop center milestones and monitor progress including interactions with an external evaluation board. AIM 3. Coordinate all virtual and in-person center meetings and coordinate one NIDDK-wide U2C/TL1 Center meeting. Thus, the Administrative Core will serve as the nexus of the generator Network. This core will coordinate executive committee activities and interactions with external advisors. The administrative core also coordinates all meetings and interactions between GENERATOR trainees and faculty including monthly virtual and yearly in-person meetings.
