Abstract
ABSTRACT â CAREER ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM The Cancer Health Disparities SPORE in Endometrial Cancer Career Enhancement Program (CEP) supports research activities for oncology clinicians, oncology clinician scientists, and basic, translational, and clinical scientists with strong interest in cancer health disparities and endometrial cancer research. The SPORE leadership is committed to increasing the pool of endometrial cancer researchers. Each year the CEP will fund 2 CEP investigators from a total of $100,000 in SPORE and matched Institutional funds. We will recruit faculty with an existing endometrial cancer science focus; or have existing health disparities research expertise that is newly being applied to the endometrial cancer context to expand the field. The Cancer Health Disparities SPORE in Endometrial Cancer CEP will provide a rigorous mentorship program for all awardees and a broad ongoing evaluation of their progress. The SPORE and CEP additionally provide fiscal administration, biostatistics and bioinformatics input, biospecimens, genomics and pathology expertise; patient perspective and integration with community outreach activities; mentorship and critical analysis and constructive feedback on progress via CEP advisory board meetings.
