Abstract
Project Summary/Abstract The Data Science Shared Resource (DSSR) of the H-H U54 initiative aims to provide comprehensive data support, ensure data integrity, and facilitate FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) data curation. DSSR is co-led by a team of experts from Johns Hopkins University Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and Howard University, with diverse backgrounds and complementary expertise. The DSSR will implement advanced database technologies, optimize data access, and establish an analytical framework for scientific rigor and reproducibility. The DSSR plans to develop advanced curation tools, incorporate artificial intelligence, and create analytic tools to manage data. The shared resource will also enhance the data model by incorporating attributes relevant to population-based research and developing an analytics infrastructure to support inclusive and representative data analysis. The DSSR is committed to continuous advancement, promoting collaborative code sharing, and developing models that employ statistical methods, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to deepen scientific understanding and improve cancer research outcomes.
