Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY/ABSTRACT â Enrichment Program The goal of the Enrichment Program is to promote scientific exchanges among Washington University Center for Diabetes Translation Research (WU-CDTR) investigators with related research interests and enhance interactions between diabetes investigators from other fields with relevant expertise. The program is guided by our strategic vision in which a health lens is the foundation for transformative diabetes research translated into action and impact. The Enrichment Program supports a national network of investigators and community partners who are conducting rigorous diabetes translation research focused on our Center goal to advance a scientific evidence base to inform rapid dissemination, implementation, and sustainability of efficacious interventions for diabetes prevention and treatment. The program has been critical in fostering diabetes research collaborations among investigators from different disciplines and community partners, promoting development of early-stage investigators, providing feedback to ongoing and planned research projects, and training future leaders in the field. This is accomplished by a series of knowledge and skill building activities; transdisciplinary team science activities to enhance interactions among investigators from various fields; and acting as a resource for diabetes translation research.
