Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY – ADMINISTRATIVE CORE The Administrative Core will coordinate all activities of the Thrombotic Microangiopathy RDCRN. Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine will house the coordinating center. The aims of the Administrative Core are to oversee the finances of the consortium, establish and oversee all policies and procedures of the consortium, maintain communication with the clinical research sites in the consortium and the USTMA Alliance (patient advocacy group partner) along with the USTMA patient Advisory Board, and with the Rare Disease Clinical Research Network (RDCRN) and National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), assume responsibility for the transfer and management of data from the consortium sites to the Data Management Coordinating Center (DMCC), assume responsibility for regulatory compliance across the consortium including preparation and submission of IRB protocols, development of Data Safety Monitoring Plans, and reporting any adverse events, and maintain a website (working with the USTMA Consortium and Alliance) to disseminate activities of the consortium, research opportunities, and information on TMAs.
