Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY â Functional Analytics Core (FAC) The University of Michigan Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-based Center (UM-SBDRC) Functional Analytics Core (FAC) is a Resource Core established to respond to the cutaneous research communityâs increasing need for innovative and state-of-the-art systems biology tools, resources, consultation, training, and genomic editing services. Over the last four years, the FAC has been heavily utilized and has helped to accelerate and broaden access to resources that have led to multiple novel insights across a wide array of immune-mediated and non-neoplastic cutaneous disorders. Building on this experience and expanding infrastructure, it will continue to deliver and enhance state-of-the-art tools, resources, expertise, and training opportunities. The FAC aligns with the NIAMS mission to provide necessary infrastructure, pooled facilities, services, and resources to groups of investigators conducting skin biology and disease research. The FAC's overarching goal is to enhance, accelerate, and enrich the impact of ongoing basic and translational research to help recruit new investigators into the field of cutaneous biology.
