Abstract
SUMMARY- LEADARSHIP ADMINISTRATIVE CORE The purpose of LAC is to provide administrative support for all program-related activities, mentoring for the PI of the Early Stage Investigator lead projects, interface with the National Institutes of Health, the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) administration, the UMMC Grants and Contracts office, all departments represented in the SCORE and the investigators of the SCORE. The Program Director is responsible for the scientific and financial management of the program and will be assisted by the Associate Director. The administrative staff of this core is responsible for all purchasing and fiscal management, personnel, program- related travel by all of the investigators and visits by invited ESI mentoring committee and external speakers, and reports to the National Institutes of Health. The LAC will disseminates important information to the SCORE investigators, organize scientific meetings and seminars related to the program, and coordinate assessment of research progress by the Internal and External Advisory Committees.
