Abstract
Advancing clinical and translational research in the U.S. relies on a well-trained workforce of clinical research professionals (CRPs), essential for safe, high-quality clinical trials. Despite the current crisis of unsustainable turnover rates, the high demand for skilled CRPs, existing robust academic training programs, and passionate advocates from across the clinical and translational enterprise, together present a significant opportunity to build a resilient workforce that will contribute to the overall health and growth of the U.S. economy. The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) proposes a two-part annual conference series entitled âAdvancing Clinical and Translational Science through Building A Research-Ready Clinical Research Professional Workforce in the U.S.â Two annual conferences within this umbrella will explore strategies and create action plans to improve CRP career entryways, training, recognition, with the goal of improving U.S. workforce sustainability and trial quality, aligning with NIH and NCATS missions to advance health solutions through an expanded and sustainable clinical and translation research workforce.
