Abstract
Modified Project Summary/Abstract Section [new Implementation Science Working Group (ISWG)] The new CFAR Implementation Science Working Group (ISWG) will be dedicated to supporting high-quality implementation science methods that will improve the design, delivery, and evaluation of HIV prevention, treatment, and cure strategies. Through an emphasis on methodological rigor and application, the ISWG will aim to enable CFAR investigators to propose research that will inform scalable, sustainable programs across local, national, and global contexts. The ISWG will address critical gaps in implementation methodologies and promote their application through collaboration with interdisciplinary researchers across UCSF in new grant applications. The group will foster applied research innovation and encourage the adoption of new approaches in prevention, treatment, and care delivery research. Ongoing evaluation of ISWG programming will be conducted through annual participant feedback, tracking of engagement metrics, and review of emerging research needs. This iterative process will ensure responsiveness to investigator interests and alignment with NIH HIV research priorities. Through its comprehensive, methodologically driven activities, the ISWG aims to contribute meaningfully to the broader CFAR mission and to ongoing efforts to enhance the impact of HIV implementation research.
