Abstract
Summary The Imaging and Biomarker Core will facilitate the development and validation of promising biomarkers of AD susceptibility, improve AD risk prediction, and identify promising directions for development of targeted interventions. By creating this Yale ADRC Imaging and Biomarker Core, we leverage the vast experience of Yaleâs imaging and biomarker expertise to provide state-of-the-art acquisition and analysis of data and to focus on the development of novel approaches to studying AD. The Imaging Component will i) provide imaging protocols and data analysis strategies to facilitate in-vivo quantification of AD imaging biomarkers, ii) assess, track and validate imaging biomarkers of AD neurobiology, and iii) correlate imaging findings with postmortem neuropathological analysis and biofluid biomarkers, while the Biomarker Component will i) manage the Yale ADRC Biospecimen Repository, ii) assess, track and validate biofluid and tissue biomarkers of AD, and iii) develop and apply cutting-edge mass spectrometric approaches to identify and assess novel AD-associated biomarkers.
