Abstract
Data Management and Statistics Core Summary The Data Management and Statistics Core (DMSC) will foster the Yale ADRC through rigorous collaborative engagement with investigators, the training of scientists, and the development of novel statistical methodology. The mission of the DMSC is to provide intellectual leadership and innovation for ADRC research by developing and applying state-of-the-art data analytic and biomedical informatics, to collect, analyze and integrate data. Our focus increases collaborative investigation and provides insightful biological and clinical interpretations of analyses from basic, translational, and methodologic research. The Data Core will 1) provide data infrastructure to Yale ADRC Cores research and data exchange outside of the Yale ADRC; 2) support the Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Cores; 3) work with the National Alzheimerâs Coordinating Center (NACC) to continue an efficient exchange of data, support NACC initiatives (UDS4 and digital biomarkers), and resolve NACC queries; 4) provide comprehensive statistical support (including study design, implementation, data analysis, and methodology development) to research associated with the Yale ADRC and cross Center projects; and 5) educate investigators, trainees, and junior faculty in the principles and use of statistical analysis methodologies. The DMSC works with other Cores and development projects, especially the Clinical Core to coordinate data management and analytical requirements ensuring rigor and reproducibility. With our newly expanding real-time data analysis, reports can be generated providing summaries of participantsâ UDS and other data organized by investigator selected characteristics.
