Abstract
REVISED ABSTRACT: Data Management & Statistics Core: Project Summary â 2P30AG066444-06 (5153) The Data Management and Statistics Core (DMS Core) provides data management support and statistical and data science consultation to facilitate research and sharing of Center-wide data generated by Components and research projects utilizing resources of the ADRC, as well as both local and collaborative analyses between and among ADRCs and with NACC. The Core will continue its extensive interactions with Knight ADRC Components and across ADRCs and NACC to achieve the following specific aims: (1) Harmonize Knight ADRC recruitment and retention activities by developing a central REDCap database that will standardize demographics data collection and track results of activities across Components (Clinical Core, ORE Core, HDE Core, Knight ADRC Clinical Trials Unit, & Developmental Projects); (2) Manage the Knight ADRC research databases, from the design of forms to data entry, then to database quality control (QC), and finally to the distribution of analysis data sets to investigators and progress reporting, by interacting closely with all Components and projects that generate data; (3) Work closely with the WU Institute of Informatics, Data Science, & Biostatistics (I2 DB) to make data collected by ADRC Components and projects available to all ADRC investigators and qualified external investigators, in compliance with the new NIH Data Management and Sharing (DMS) policy; (4) Collaborate with NACC to make smooth and timely data submissions (e.g., the Uniform Data Set); (5) Lead and consult on the statistical design and data analyses of all ADRC projects with respect to the application of appropriate statistical and methodological techniques, and to develop novel statistical methods tackling emerging analytic challenges from ADRC Components and projects; (6) Promote reproducible research within the ADRC from database to analytic integrity, consistent with the National Alzheimer's Project Act (NAPA) research implementation milestone 3.C; (7) Facilitate local analyses and collaborations between and among ADRCs
