Abstract
ALTERATION & RENOVATION: ABSTRACT/PROJECT SUMMARY The goal of the Alteration and Renovation proposal is to modify an existing space to create a Digital Health Research Lab within the Innovation Space in the Barton Research Building at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The Digital Health Research Lab will be used to train Maternal and Reproductive Community Health Excellence (MaRCH) Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) investigators in digital health technology. This space will be directly tied to the Digital Health Core and will be purposed for activities related to this core. The specific aims include: Aim 1: Alter and renovate the existing space to establish the Digital Health Research Lab within the Innovation Space in the Barton Research Building at UAMS that will be used by the Digital Health Core for training. Aim 2: Equip the Digital Health Research Lab to include a telehealth and virtual reality research space, a training and technical support space to aid Research Project Leaders, Pilot Project Investigators, other affiliated MaRCH COBRE investigators, and community members and patients who are participating in research, and a cordoned-off area where research staff can conduct interviews and training.
