Abstract
ABSTRACT: Administrative Core (Core A) The purpose of the Administrative Core (Core A) is to provide centralized administrative management, financial control services, clerical and materials management, and data processing support to all projects and cores. This Core will also ensure seamless interactions and communication between all participants by providing necessary support for the organization and conduct of meetings as well as regular communications with the NIH and strive to promote the highest level of integration between the programâs components. The Core A will organize an annual retreat where the members of the Scientific Advisory Board will meet with Program leaders to provide the status of the progress of the grant. As the admin PI of this program Grant and Lead of the Administrative Core, Dr. Kristy K. Brock, in consultation with the Steering Committee and the Scientific Advisory Board, will be responsible for providing overall direction to the quality, integration, scientific progress, and administrative operations of the program. Dr. Brock will be responsible for deciding policy matters relating to research priorities and problems concerning projects, cores, resources, and the overall program management. By design, this core will provide investigators clear lines of scientific and administrative communication, aid in the prioritization of resources as they relate to the integration and progression of the proposed projects and shared resource cores and facilitate resolution of any problems that affect team members.
