Abstract

A FY23 goal for the Basic Biobehavioral and Psychological Sciences Branch (BBPSB) within the National Cancer Institute, NIH, is to optimize the branch’s culture, connection, collaboration, and leadership acumen through didactic and skill-building activities. The FourSight Thinking Profile course is a resource that supports the optimization of hybrid teams and teaches team members how to use individual differences to reduce conflict, leverage best thinking, and achieve goals faster through effective collaboration practices. The course, which includes individual FourSight assessments, results, and a facilitated team reveal session, must be conducted through a certified FourSight facilitator; thus, NIH seeks these services through OPM CLD. The certified FourSight facilitator will help BBPSB team members discover their individual thinking preferences, understand ways to collaborate effectively, and share a common language to take on challenges. Additionally, the BBPSB will conduct an internal systematic scoping activity that aims to identify clinical and social contexts in which biobehavioral and psychological mechanisms can be interrogated to improve cancer disparities outcomes and engage OPM CLD to secure facilitators experienced with virtual scoping models that may include a combination of virtual meetings and activities.
