Abstract

Evaluating the impact of research conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP) and the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) is a critical component of DTTs scientific information management activities. Many complex scientific reports and manuscripts are published by NTP and DTT each year, and support for this project evaluates the effectiveness of those publications (i.e., influencing regulatory actions, citations in other research, and use in scientific and digital platforms). Impact evaluation projects have included assessing bibliometric and data visualization tools, conducting literature searches for NTP and DTT citations, and compiling results into summaries of research impact.
