Abstract

This interagency agreement leverages the research capabilities, expertise, and interests of NIAID and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Under this IAA, VHA research sites will participate in the ACTIV umbrella clinical research studies on candidate medical countermeasures against COVID-19 and other respiratory viral illnesses, including candidate monoclonal antibodies, antiviral drugs, immunomodulators, and other new or repurposed investigational drugs with differing mechanisms of action.
