Abstract

For the FY 23 year we have maintained the Dry lab space. To meet the needs of its growing intramural program, NIMHD DIR maintained its 4,292 sf secure office space at Two White Flint, Floor 10, Rockville, MD. The majority of DIR investigators and trainees are now housed at this space. Three investigators (one Senior Investigator and two tenure-track investigators) and their trainees continue to occupy office space on the 5th floor, Building 3 on the main NIH campus in Bethesda, MD. For the FY 23 year we have maintained the Wet lab space. Remodeling of the 29B wet lab space (29B 2E18 and 29B 2E20) has now been completed, including the portion of the shared space (29B 2N02) assigned to NIMHD DIR and a private office on the 2nd floor of this building. Activation of protocols that would use this space was delayed due to COVID-19, but we anticipate these protocols will become active in the coming fiscal year. We have initially started the process of acquiring a clinical space in building 10 and communicating our needs of the restructure of the building to fit the NIMHD goals of using the clinical apace to conduct our research in supporting the NIMHD mission.
