Abstract

In Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, we continued to advance our understanding of acquired and inherited genetic changes that promote mast cell reactivity, anaphylaxis, and allergic inflammation. Foremost among the advances we reported this FY, was a manuscript demonstrating the usefulness of tryptase genotyping - when used in combination with serum levels of the tryptase protein - in identifying patients with myeloid neoplasms. We also reported the impact of tryptase gene composition on the severity of food allergic reactions. And finally, as part of an international collaborative effort, we also published a landmark study on STAT6 gain-of-function in humans.
