Abstract

Our direct efforts to develop therapeutics for proteopathies have been on hold this fiscal year as we have focussed on determining the first high-resolution structures of pathological prions (see other project). Such structures are beginning to provide key insights into the molecular mechanisms of prion propagation and toxicity, and, in doing, suggest new therapeutic and drug screening strategies. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..............................................................................................
