Abstract

The Developmental Therapeutics Program/DCTD utilizes the Drug Acquisition Initiative (DAI) to independently acquire gram quantities of all known therapeutic agents that are under human clinical development for the treatment of cancer. As part of the DAI the Drug Synthesis and Chemistry Branch periodically engages its contractors to synthesize gram quantities of select compounds. In addition, through the Drug Synthesis and Chemistry Branch, DTP directly supports drug discovery and development projects through the Stepping-Stones and NExT programs which entails the engagement of contractors to synthesis gram to kilogram quantities of select compounds.
