Biology and molecular vulnerabilities in SMARCB1-deficient tumors

Abstract

During FY23, we established cultures of several chordoma cell lines obtained from the Chordoma Foundation, and continue to optimize additional chordoma lines. We have confirmed the SMARCB1 status in these lines and have generated stable lines expressing a fluorescent nuclear marker to facilitate high-throughput drug screening. This project will be funded in part by a Rare Cancer Research Program grant from the Department of Defense in a collaboration with Dr Sanjay Malhotra at Oregon Health Sciences University, which was awarded this year and will start in the next fiscal year.
