Abstract

This protocol (000628) is a collaboration with the Molecular Imaging Branch and the Developmental Therapeutics Branch (Translational Pharmacodynamics Research Group). This protocol will enroll men with recurrent prostate cancer and track their imaging including CT, Tc99 and PSMA PET imaging. We will also track PSA and evaluate biomarkers as well. This study is approved by the scientific review process and will hopefully open later in 2022. Even though PSMA PET imaging was approved in prostate caner in recent years, there is no natural history data to accompany this new technology. This likely leads to over-treatment of patients. Data is needed to better understand who requires therapy in this population and who can be spared the toxicity of such therapies.
