Abstract
Our project has two aims: Aim 1 - Identification of novel therapeutic vulnerabilities in adrenocortical carcinoma by large-scale drug testing of adrenocortical carcinoma patient-derived organoids. We hypothesize that large-scale drug screening will identify compounds with efficacy in ACC PDOs that could be used for future combination studies and ultimately translated to the clinic Aim 2 - Develop patient-derived organoids that encompass tumor heterogeneity of adrenocortical carcinoma. We hypothesize that we can develop ACC PDOs which represent the three major molecular subtypes of ACC identified by the TCGA.
