Abstract

LMB-100 is an immunotoxin targeting mesothelin expressing cancers. We have developed an intraperitoneal model in mice with a normal immune system in which mouse tumors expressing human mesothelin grow in peritoneal cavity of mice that are tolerant to human mesothelin expression due to expression of human mesothelin in the thyroid gland. We find LMB-100 therapy induces anti-tumor immunity which is necessary to achieve complete regressions of existing tumors and prevent growth of reinjected tumors.
