Abstract

The NMR Research Core Facility consulted on many projects in FY2021. The following investigators utilized the facilities. Paul Doetsch: The NMR core provided metabolomic analyses of yeast extracts and experimented with glutathione radical chemistry. Traci Hall: RNA structures were determined, and the binding of proteins were localized to structural features on the RNA structure. Jason Watts: The NMR core examined nucleotide samples for evidence of G quadruplex formation. Gaylia Jean Harry: Metabolomic samples of mouse brain extracts were characterized. Suchitra Kaveri Hourigan: Fecal samples from leukemia survivors were characterized. Cynthia Vanessa Rider: Botanical extracts were characterized. Jason Alexander Wallits: Fecal samples from patients with chronic fatigue syndrome were characterized for metabolites present. Rachel Caspi: Cecum and fecal samples from mice were characterized for various metabolites. Stavros Garantziotis: Protein samples were tested for binding to hyaluoronic acid. Paul Wade: NMR samples of histone proteins were prepared with stable isotopes. Lars Pedersen: Protein samples were characterized for folded state. Shyamal Peddada: Human saliva samples were characterized for metabolite comparisons. Robin Stanley: RNA samples were analyzed for nucleotide orientation.
