Abstract

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Office of Acquisitions (OA) provides acquisition support for products and services that range from simplified acquisitions of materials to support the Intramural research program, to the complex acquisition of research and development services including clinical trials. Through the Consolidated Operations Acquisitions Center (COAC) OA serves the acquisition needs of several other Institutes or Centers (ICs). Since 2016, OA has utilized the SaaS version of PRISM 7.4 to standardize the workflow for acquisitions, reduce workload, increase transparency of the acquisition process, and automate other systems utilized by the OA. The purpose of this acquisition is to maintain the PRISM licenses to support the existing PRISM (including PRISM Insight and the Acquisition Planning Module), hosting, and maintenance on an on-going basis.
