Abstract

SUMMARY We are requesting an administrative supplement to the parent grant (R01GM145618) to fund a cell-culture hood, specifically the Thermo Scientific 1300 Series Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet. Our current hood just broke. It cannot be repaired, because it is too old, and thus parts are no longer available. The replacement hood that we have selected best serves our needs while also being the most cost efficient. Cell-based studies, which require a hood for cell culturing, are needed for all aims of the parent grant. Thus, funding of this supplement is critical for our work.
