Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY/ABSTRACT This application is a request for an Undergraduate Research (diversity) Supplement for Mr. Adrian Duah. The supplement aims to provide mentorship, training, and advance research experience for an undergraduate student via the Integration of Hypertension Management in HIV Care in Nigeria: A Task Strengthening Strategy grant (#HL147811). Within the scope of Dr. Ogedegbeâs R01 (1R01HL147811-01A1), Mr. Duahâs undergraduate research plan will be to assist with various technical aspects for the parent study. He will focus on assessing hypertension management processes within study sites or the primary healthcare centers (PHCs) in Lagos by conducting data collection and analysis of the adoption, sustainability and mediators of the task strengthening and practice facilitation strategies â all of which are key components for the parent studyâs implementation and sustainability. Through this project, Mr. Duah will receive assistance with career development opportunities to strengthen his application to medical school.
