Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY / ABSTRACT This application is a request for an Undergraduate Research (diversity) Supplement (URS) for Mr. Emeryc Sogbossi. The supplement aims to provide mentorship, training, and advance research experience for an undergraduate student through an NHLBI-funded study titled: Community Mobilization for Improved Clean Cookstove Uptake, Household Air Pollution Reduction, and Hypertension Prevention (R01HL157091). Within the scope of Dr. Ogedegbeâs R01, Mr. Sogbossiâs undergraduate research plan will assist with technical aspects on the parent study, particularly by focusing on assisting with the training of implementers on the community mobilization strategy and analyzing the effectivenessof the training sessions. Through this project, Mr. Sogbossi will receive exposure to the research process, engage in research training and mentorship, and receive assistance with career development opportunities such as attendance and presentation at one scientific conferenceper year. The various aspects will allow Mr. Sogbossi to strengthen his application to medical school.
